Company Size and Culture: The Most Important

Michael Page Oil&Gas – global brand focused on recruitment of professionals for technical and engineering positions in oil and gas – surveyed 771 professionals through an online questionnaire published on their global website in the second semester of 2013.

According to the recent survey, more than 30% of the participants from around the world think of the company (size and culture) as the most important factor when deciding about working outside their home country.

“Certainly the company and what it offers make a big difference in the life of an expat. The benefits may vary depending not only on the country but also on the company culture.” says Patrick Hollard, Executive Board Director at PageGroup.

The survey shows that salary and locations come second with 20% of the votes, the participants are more concerned with the company and what it has to offer as a group rather than the benefits themselves.

10% believe that the benefits are the most important factor while less than 10% believe is the local culture.
